Terms of use for external audiences

When using the ministry’s social media platforms, you agree to abide by our terms of use described below.

  1. We welcome your comments on the ministry’s social networks and ask you to show courtesy, respect and not to use platforms to abuse, provide offensive or inappropriate content for illegal purposes.
  2. In order to preserve the integrity of the ministry’s decision-making process, no comments will be provided on aspects of pending, pending or finalized cases before the courts.
  3. The information published on our sites is not intended to be legal advice and should not be used as such.
  4. The service asks you to protect your privacy and the privacy of others by not including your personal information or that of others on the page (for example, names, email addresses, private addresses or phone numbers).
  5. Opinions or views expressed on the department’s social media sites by persons outside the department represent the thoughts of individual bloggers and online communities, and not of the department.
  6. Although the ministry makes reasonable efforts to monitor and / or moderate the content posted on its social media platforms, we cannot always respond in real time. The department’s social media platforms are monitored during business hours and responses to comments will only be provided during business hours (excluding holidays).
  7. The ministry reserves the exclusive right to review, hide or remove any comments it deems inappropriate. Comments, including, but not limited to the following may be deleted or hidden:
    1. Abusive or hurtful comments about a blogger, other participant, or service employees, which may include:
      1. inappropriate or discriminatory language (for example, profanity, racial, ethnic, disability, age, religion or gender)
      2. personal attacks or defamatory statements or comments (for example, negative or false personal comments about a person)
    2. opinions that impersonate or falsely represent any other person or falsely state or distort affiliation with any person or entity;
    3. irrelevant and redundant comments on the topic discussed (e.g. promoting events, groups, websites, organizations and programs not related or affiliated with the department)
    4. comments that violate the privacy of ministry staff, members, clients or stakeholders
    5. details of filing complaints, seeking legal advice, or discussing any matter submitted to the ministry that are pending, underway, or finalized or that would violate non-publication of ministry orders;
    6. Content that may or would constitute a criminal offense or give rise to civil liability, or that violates any local, state, national or international laws or regulations in the world (or encourages others to do so).
  8. Persistent inappropriate use of the department’s social media platforms will result in the user being blocked from the department’s platforms and / or reporting to the platform administrator for violating their terms of service.
  9. Links from ministry social media sites to other websites are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute an endorsement of such sites by the ministry and, as such, we are not responsible for the content of external websites. .
  10. By submitting content to ministry social media platforms, you understand and acknowledge that this information is publicly available and is considered public record.
  11. The Department makes no claims, promises or guarantees as to the accuracy, completeness or adequacy of the content of its social media platforms and expressly disclaims all liability for errors and omissions in their content. No warranty of any kind, implied, express or statutory, including, but not limited to, guarantees of non-infringement of the rights of third parties, is given with respect to social media content or their links to other online resources.
