New York Times: Danielle Rhoades Ha promoted to Head of External Communications

Crew,

I am writing to share some exciting news. Danielle Rhoades Ha is promoted to SVP, Head of External Communications.

In this role, Danielle will lead our public-facing communications for the company. External Communications is responsible for telling the world what makes Times journalism and products different and special, and for advancing and protecting our public reputation – which Danielle has extensive experience in developing and promoting. Danielle and her team will continue to work closely with Cynara Charles-Pierre and the internal communications and culture team.

Danielle has the experience we need to guide us as we continue to evolve and modernize our external communications practices as our business and journalism impact growth and meet the challenges of communication in a polarized society and a changing media landscape. Danielle has the poise, instincts, connections and absolute composure this role demands, and she is an inspiring and highly respected leader. I am delighted to continue to work closely with her.

-David
