Foreign Minister S Jaishankar holds talks with his counterparts from Japan and the Netherlands | India News

NEW DELHI: Foreign Minister S Jaishankar met with his counterparts from Japan and the Netherlands on Friday and discussed bilateral relations as well as regional issues.
In a tweet, Jaishankar said he had a good chat with Dutch Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Wopke Hoekstra.
“I wished him a speedy recovery from Covid. And a Happy New Year. I discussed our bilateral, EU and Indo-Pacific cooperation,” Jaishankar tweeted.

They also exchanged views on the celebration of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, he said.
During his chat with Jaishankar, Hoekstra said on Twitter: “Good to talk with @DrSJaishankar. This year we are celebrating 75 years of diplomatic relations, a milestone. We talked about our strong bilateral program, the EU cooperation and developments in the region.”
“I look forward to further strengthening our excellent bilateral relations,” the Dutch foreign minister said.
Earlier, Jaishankar said he was delighted to have a New Year’s chat with his Japanese counterpart Hayashi Yoshimasa.
“We discussed Covid situation, travel facilitation, bilateral projects, Quad, Myanmar and North Korea,” Jaishankar said.
Expect to celebrate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Japan in a fitting way, he said on Twitter.
