External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar holds talks with his Argentinian counterpart

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar held “productive” talks on Sunday with his visiting Argentine counterpart, Santiago Cafiero, focusing on bilateral cooperation in areas such as defense and atomic energy.

Cafiero is visiting India primarily to participate in the three-day Raisina Dialogue, India’s premier conference on foreign policy and geoeconomics. The dialogue begins on Monday.

“A productive encounter with FM @SantiagoCafiero from Argentina during his first visit to India,” Jaishankar posted on Twitter. “We discussed expanding our bilateral trade and cooperation in agriculture, pharmaceuticals, electronics, electric mobility, defense and atomic energy. We will work closely in the G20 and multilateral forums,” he added.

Furthermore, the Minister of Foreign Affairs also met with Teddy Locsin Jr, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines.

“I warmly welcomed the Foreign Secretary of the Philippines @teddyboylocsin. I enjoyed his insights and perspectives on the Indo-Pacific, Europe, Myanmar, Ukraine and Multilateralism,” Jaishankar tweeted. .

“Reviewed the progress of bilateral relations since our last meeting in February,” he added.
