CMI appoints Anthony Painter as Director of Policy and External Affairs – FE News

Strategic appointment enables CMI (@cmi_managers) to further strengthen its management team

The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) has appointed Anthony Painter as the new Director of Policy and External Affairs.

In his new role, reporting to Ann Francke, Managing Director of CMI, Anthony will oversee CMI’s policy and public affairs work; the research and development of enlightened leadership and the Press and PR function of CMI.

In his most recent role as Director of Research and Impact at the Royal Society for the Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, Anthony led RSA’s social change mission, which included examining the future of work , education, lifelong learning and economic security. Author and published presenter, Anthony’s work on policy and social innovation received the Think Tank of the Year award by Prospect magazine. Among other roles, he was previously vice president of governors at Hackney Community College. He graduated from the University of Cambridge and the London School of Economics.

Commenting on Anthony’s appointment, Ann Francke said:

Anthony will take up his post at CMI in February 2022.
