cartographer Hendrik Hondius circa 1630. (1597-1651.) Size 48" Wide by

Exceptionally detailed work of art, this old world antique historical
wall map is reproduced on canvas material using the GicleeŽ method of
printmaking, bringing forth the texture and brush strokes as closely
as possible to the original painted map. The text on this old world
map is in Latin.
The map features three insets in decorative cartouches, the corners
contain miniature portraits of Mercator, Hondius (the cartographer of
this map), Caesar and Ptolemy. The background features four elements.
The colors are predominantly red, green and gold.
